03 Apr 2011 DERA GHAZI KHAN: Suicide blasts at Darbar Sakhi Sarwar killing about 35 people

DERA
GHAZI KHAN: At least 35 people were shaheed and over one hundred sustained injuries
in three suicide blasts at Darbar Sakhi Sarwar, about 40 kilometers off here on
Sunday evening.
The
blasts occurred near the main gate of Shrine blast as a result 35 devotees were
shaheed and more than 100 injured.
Rescue
teams have rushed towards the shrine after blast. Around 60 injured have been shifted
to near district hospital. The condition of several injured is said to be
critical.
The
blasts are said to be suicide attacks. Police have apprehended an alleged
suicide bomber. His suicide jacket has been defused and he was shifted to
undisclosed location for investigation.
The
dead include four children and eight women. Reportedly, the first blast
occurred at the main gate of shrine while another happened within three minutes
of the first one in the compound of the shrine when the Urs celebrations were
in progress.
According
to police, two would-be suicide bombers had also been arrested; one of them has
been with injuries. In charge Punjab Emergency Service rescue-1122 Dr. Natiq
Hayat told that all the dead bodies and injured were shifted to DHQ hospital by
the ambulances of emergency service from Muzaffargarh, Layyah and Rajanpur.
Some
of the dead have been identified as Iram (12), Bushra (10) and Muhammad Kaleem (35)
while identification of other victims were in progress.
Some
injured were identified as Armiz, Haji Sarwar, Sakhia, Irfan, Muhammad Arshad, Irfan
s/o Sarwar, Haji Ali, Mehmoob, Ali Akhtar, Younis, Razia Bibi, Azra Bibi,
Mustafa, Muhammad Imran, Fiaz, Muhammad Irfan s/o Ghulam Sarwar, Abid Hussain,
Imran, Muhammad Aslam, Amir Bukhsh, Muhammad Irfan s/o Boota, Farooq, Asim,
Aleena, Tehmina, Ghulam Farid, Abdul Ghaffar, Muhammad Sakhawat, Muhammad
Pervaiz, Nazar, and Kamran.

Hazrat Bari Imam (r.a) Islamabad, Shrine of Baba Farid Ganj Shakar (r.a) Pakpattan,
and many shrine effected in Pakistan
