Lahore: Quran O Sunnat conference at Minar Pakistan

Massive turn out of momineen from all segments of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan braving scorching sun with mercury soaring to 45 degrees on the celsius scale exhibiting exemplary discipline and steadfastness on the historical site of minar-e-Pakistan ,were the highlights of the day ,as the city reverberated with the resonance of chants of Labbayka ya Hussain. Emotional and moving scenes were witnessed as hundreds of thousands of momineen from every nook and corner of the country hailing from diverse backgrounds and people of all ages, graced the occassion with a very vibrant presence . Remarkably the children ,the women and the elderly showed immense courage braving the heat and shortage of basic necessities of water in presence of a annoyably strict arrangements by the provincial government on the pretext of law and order situation-something for which it has done only little practically speaking ,as only in its backyard the notorious killers of banned outfits like Malik-e-kaseef move openly scot-free. Analysts believe it was a visible ploy to confine the gathering to as limited a number of people as she possibly could.

    

    

     

Despite all the odds, momineen travelled long distances to arrive at the venue. Preparations were great in the surroundings of Minar-e-Pakistan as it was beautifully decorated with banners inscribed with aqwaal-e-Masoomeen (AS) and those of prominent muslim thinkers as well as Alam-e-Mubaarak-e-Ghazi Abbas Alamdar was also hoisted. As a pre-cursor to this mammoth gathering strong campaign work was done as visibly witnessed across the country at the grass roots level and successively mobilization gatherings had been organized in different parts of the country by the leadership of the newly introduced Shia political party Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen ,which carries a lot of appeal and has attracted a lot of youth cadre within Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan. The great response multiplies the collective responsibilities as it has been proven once again beyond any shadow of doubts like on so many previous occassion that the Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan always heeds to sincere voices from Shia leadership without any discrimination across the religio-political spectrum and is ready to sacrifice everything at its disposal on the call of Labbayk Ya Hussain (AS) keeping aside all other trivial differences and disputes in the greater interest of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan and our beloved country Pakistan.

    

    

      

It was a gesture of religios wisdom and sheer good will ,that the invitation to join the gathering was extended to all entities ,individuals ,students organizations, institutions and other tashkeelat of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan to evolve a consensus on the issues of common concern to all momineen and all Pakistanis . Barring a few very surprising and prominent absences, the invitation was honoured and welcomed across the spectrum. An open hearted approach towards the issues of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan is very commendable and what everybody must try is to atleast not to miss out on any opportunity to sit together and exchange ideological views among themselves and with momineen , for which this public gathering was a fairly good occassion. In the same breath, it is worth pointing out that these activities are ground breaking activities and millat needs to cover a very long distance as there are absolutely no quick fix solutions to sociological and socio-religio-political problem ,but its great that there is political activism at grass roots level. The most important prime mover for the real ,lasting and meaningful change in the eyes of Masoomeen (AS) is the need for training humans collectively and individually at all levels (insaan saazi) ,without which ,nothing viably and truly Islamic could be achieved.

    

    

      

Shaheed Foundation Pakistan also participated on special invitation of MWM and arranged pictures gallery exhibition of Shohada-e-Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan in which thousands of people visited and drew inspiration from the real heroes and hopes of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan. Asaar-e-Shohada were also displayed most prominently the aba (islamic robe of religious scholars) of Shaheed Quaid Allaama Syed Arif Hussain Al-Hussaini to which momineen showed great emotional reverence.Al-Shaheed products as thematic videos and documentaries ,the magazine , and other day to day use stuff as Islamic photo albums and keychains etc were also put on display.

    

    

      

Members of Central Committee of Shaheed Foundation Pakistan along with working committees from several cities of the country were representing the institution on this occassion.

    

    

      

The participants demanded that the government open all thorough fares closed in Gilgit Baltistan, Quetta and Parachinar for the security of shias otherwise they would reopen them by force. In the resolution, a cessation to torture of Shia students by `terrorists`in Punjab University was also demanded.
MWM Secretary General Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jaffri during his speech said Shias would besiege GHQ, Prime Minister house, chief minister house and officers of security personnel in case safety of life and properties of Shias is not ensured in every part of the country. He advised the participants to prepare themselves for this purpose.

    

    

       

Jaffri warned all political parties not to make activists of banned organizations as their candidates in upcoming elections otherwise Shias would boycott these parties and would not vote for them. He criticized Jamat-e-Islami by accusing it of supporting miscreant elements in universities.

    

    

     
MWM deputy secretary Allama Amin Shaheedi, an activist MS Sakina Mahdvi and president of Imamia Students Organization (ISO) Athar Amam also spoke at the occasion.

The participants reached the venue from different areas of the country. The conference continued from 10am to 7pm. Welcome camps were set up at entry points of the city where private armed men were deputed along with strict security measures deployed at all entry points.

Leaders of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) have said that the major purpose of this front is to safeguard the ideology of Pakistan and counter nefarious designs of the imperialist forces against the country.

They announced that the MWM would fully participate in the next general elections and would defeat the pro-American elements in each corner of the country.

Claiming that MWM was a unanimous voice of the Shias in Pakistan, Jafri warned that all the political parties including the PPP could not deceive the Shia populace any further, adding that each mainstream political force had cheated the Shia community after getting their votes. He also said that Shia votes would not be given to any party who would join hands with terrorists or banned groups.
Condemning the drone attacks, he stressed the rulers for immediate halt in it by breaking the shackles of slavery. Keeping in mind the participation of PTI leaders Ahsan Rasheed and Shahid Zulfiqar, Jafri said those who were ridiculing us should come and see the Tsunami of Hussaini people which would make clean sweep in future.

The new front of the Shia community has succeeded in displaying an impressive show of force as compare to the political parties. The charged crowd of MWM activists who had come across the country displayed a rare show of discipline by sitting under scorching heat of 45 degrees all the day.
Prominent leaders among who spoke on this occasion included Deputy Secretary General MWM Allama Amin Shaheedi, Spokesman MWM Allama Hasan Zafar Naqvi, ISO President Athar Imran, Shafqat Shirazi, Sakina Mehdi, Haider Ali Moosvi and Mukhtar Imami. Zakir-e-AhleBayt Gulfaam Hussain Hashmi and Shaer-e-Aal-e-Mohammad Shaukat Raza Shaukat also participated along with matami sangats on this occassion and they were accorded a very warm welcome by momineen
