Suicide Bomb Blast at Mosque and Imambargah Khadijatul Kubra (SA), Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad

Islamabad: A devastating explosion during Friday prayers on February 6, 2026, at Mosque and Imambargah Khadijatul Kubra (Peace Be Upon Her) in Tarlai Kalan, a suburban area of the federal capital, has left the community in deep mourning. According to initial reports, the explosion was extremely intense, resulting in the martyrdom of several worshippers and leaving many others injured.
Rescue and emergency teams immediately reached the site after the blast and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals, where several victims remain in critical condition. The tragic incident has sparked grief and outrage across the country, with religious and social organizations appealing for prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and the speedy recovery of the injured.
According to the latest reports, 40 worshippers have been martyred so far, while 42 patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals in Islamabad. Among them, 6 individuals are critically injured and are receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
