Al Shaheed Welfare Pakistan delivered all goods to victims of district Thatta. It was sent on in the evening of 27th August, 2010.

On 26th of August at the time of Sahri Bathoro, Sujawal, Banu, Daro and some other towns of Thatta got threat of flood, because the defense-line of River Indus broken at the point of Kot Almo Band near Daro Town. More than four lac (400,000) people moved by their vehicles, bulk-carts, donkey-carts and by foot towards other safe places, mostly to Thatta. Families also moved towards Badin, Hyderabad and Karachi.

When bad luck people arrived in Thatta, the Thatta city also got threat of flood at iftar timings on the same day. It was announced that Thatta must be evacuated in two hours. Now thousands of people moved towards the hills of Makli, two kilometers away from Thatta.

Thousands of people are lying on ground on small stones and thorns. They are under open sky, facing hunger, thrust and shortage of food. People are lying every where on heated Mountainair area of Makli, i.e. footpaths, parks, government buildings and graveyard.

Thousands of people are still waiting for aid. Situation is very tense there. Mostly the aid vehicles are being looted. Peace and order situation is very bad. Some time it is observed that professional looters have captured roads for looting aid and creating hindrances for rescue team. Government and administration must need to organize people and arrange tent villages on distance with each other. It's very awful situation that the prices of basic necessity-things are increased in thrice. Although its time for solidarity, sympathy and cooperation.

Keeping such type of situation in mind Al-Shaheed Welfare decided to send aid in late night hours from Karachi to Makli, Thatta. Our truck reached there after 2:00 A.M and a safe path was chosen. There was fear of stampede and looting so aid was dispatched individually in most deserving families in dark night.

Volunteers of Shaheed Foundation distributed relief goods comprised on grocery, mineral water, water coolers, Tents, gas-stoves Juices, crockery and other stuffs in victims, who came from various areas of District like Jati, Chohar Jamali, Bathoro and Chhuretani. Aid also delivered to the peoples of Bago Khan Lashari's Goth (Tando Hafiz), victims are switched to Chashma Makan near Kotri.
